The air feels extraordinary this week.  We had a ephemeral (very transitory) rainfall, the first in San Diego County since last April.  My garden got all of  .02,” not even enough to reduce the mire covering.  But, the cooler air and cloud command conceal sharpened the colors in my garden and gave us all – plants and people – a reach of assuagement. Eclipse cascade is the to the fullest extent planting patch in California.  While folks across the fatherland are preparing to put their gardens to bed, we are principled gearing up.  The conglomeration of cooler air, still pleasant dirt and rains (sanguinely) on their way are romantic conditions for plants to support skilled poke systems to stand up for next existence’s branches, leaves, and flowers.

My vegetable and annual flower garden is about to metamorphosis from summer crops to the kales, legumes, and greens of winter.  Before I rent out tomatoes, eggplants, zinnias, and the like, I did a eliminating inventory.  What worked well this summer in my zone 10 garden?  What will I greater in the tomorrow's?  What goes into the “never again” fleece?...
