Community gardens have mammoth use in spring and summer but slow down a bit in fall and winter, Jaffe said.
"The gardens are in three locations - two are on State school district property; the other is on city property," he said. "The plots are truly large and gardeners just pay a small fee, which includes use and water."
According to Jaffe, the municipality and Redlands Unified School District have a joint-use agreement so they can utilize each other's holdings.
The community garden sites are:
Smiley Garden, adjacent to Smiley Elementary Dogma, 1210 W. Cypress Ave.
Clement Garden, next to Clement Middle School, 501 E. Pennsylvania Ave.
Lugonia Garden, east of Texas Suiting someone to a T between Lugonia and Pennsylvania avenues.
Gardens are open seven days a week year-annular during daylight hours. Plots come in a variety of sizes and each has a pass water outlet.
