What pressure does a garden hose nozzle develop when it is at it's highest rate of pressure from town water?
Question: In other words, if I move the throttle to my spray nozzle from a city water supply of 40 psi, and I pinched the nozzle, the pressure is developed from this nozzle as it is limited by a small step point?
Answer: In general, the pressure would be the same: 40 psi. Hydraulics is a bit confusing until you get familiar with it. But the pressure will be the same throughout the system, especially if it is a lot of water is allowed to circulate.
