The Colchester contractor who led ABC’s “Utmost Makeover: Home Edition” building project in Voluntown and is now charged with intentionally vehement down his Norwich wood pellet business has a pending lawsuit against the builders snarled in a charitable project in Griswold.   

Bruce P. Hayn, who is being pursued by several answerable for collectors, recently filed suit against the companies involved in the volunteer travail to rebuild a burned house for the Landa family in Griswold in 2009. Hayn claims he suffered numerous injuries, some unending, while on the job.

On Nov. 12, 2009, Hayn said builders were assembling pieces of a modular refuge in place on the foundation. Hayn was working “when suddenly and without notice a section of the roof fell over onto his back, crushing him to the ground,” according to the skirt.

Hayn lists 14 injuries suffered in the incident, including back labour, chest pain and a ligament tear in his knee. He claims negligence in asking for an undetermined amount to enclose past and future hospital expenses.
