The system this morning is on listing but slightly delayed by about 5 hours. The rain and snow didn't bring out in Lane County until about 6:30 AM and it looks to continue for the rest of the day. We've seen a brace of inches fall at elevations of 500 + and I think I will stick to that calculation for the reminder of Tuesday and maybe even early Wednesday.

By Wednesday afternoon, our indisposed pattern will turn from cold & icy to warm and wet. This Pacific Storm has loads of moisture with it and brand-new models indicate 1-3 inches on Wednesday and an additional 1-2 inches on Thursday.

The turn will be an issue for coastal areas and some of this wind will move into the valley, too. There is a HIGH Play with fire WARNING in effect for the entire coastline and even a HURRICANE FORCE Bend WARNING from Florence to Lincoln City (headlands and ocean authority only). The winds for coastal communities will be anywhere from 30-50 mph with gusts up to 70 & 80 mph.

The snooze of the week looks wet as we have several more storms moving in creating wet conditions all the way through the weekend. The snow storey will rise to about 6000 ft on Thursday and fall around 3000 ft by the weekend.
