A 12-year-old boy was treated and released from the health centre on Saturday after accidentally shooting himself with a gun he found in his grandmother's house.
The grandmother, a Anchorage Washington resident, has since been charged with one count of "leaving a loaded firearm within easy reach of a adolescent," according to a press release from the Port Washington Police Jurisdiction .
Port Washington police responded to Aurora Hospital in Grafton at 12:55 p.m. Saturday after polyclinic staff reported the self-inflicted gunshot wound.
The boy had been staying with his grandmother, who lives on Portview Ride herd on hint at in Port Washington. The woman admitted to having a gun, loaded in a occasion, in her home, according to the release.
