Schlage key cards/readers utilize multi-technology, contactless brilliant card technology, proximity, magnetic stripe, keypad, or bar code technologies. Multi-technology postcard readers combine proximity and contactless smart technology in one reader. This gives users the proficiency to utilize 125 kHz proximity technologies in their systems today, and the bendability of adding 13.56 MHz RFID to the system in the future, without the need to replace readers.
