Some blood services are back.

Patients not registered with Sault Field Hospital, not a registered patient with a medical clinic on St. Joseph Holm, Bruce Mines or Thessalon, or who cannot easily access Lifelabs in Sault Ste. Marie, will be superior to have blood drawn in two communities beginning Feb. 8.

The Central Algoma Agricultural Health Care Committee, North East Local Fitness Integration Network and LifeLabs Medical Laboratory Services, announced Tuesday that an interim denouement has been reached for those residents in the catchment area, from Echo Bay to Huron Shores, who have been stricken by the withdrawal of blood service at Matthews Memorial and Thessalon hospitals.

The interim military talents will be provided on Wednesdays only, at the Algoma Manor in Thessalon from 7 to 8 a.m. and at the Dr. Harold S. Trefry Cluster, in Richards Landing from 9 to 10 a.m.

Patients are required to make an post by calling LifeLabs Laboratory Services at 705-946-5543. Patients without an assignation will not be seen.
